Look what we got!

A 2008 Chevy Uplander. Its a minivan but has the look of an SUV, it seats 7 and has sliding doors on both sides. I am so excited to finally have something more dependable to drive.

Roman is officially taking steps unassisted. Now that he has learned to do it, everytime i turn around, he is standing by himself and taking a few steps from one place to the next.

Ethan and Ian have this Little People airplane and schoolbus, they got it for their 1st or 2nd christmas. They have loved those toys and worn them out to where they dont even play music anymore. Keith bought the babies the same thing and Ethan and Ian loved it. lol

Ok, no laughing. This is is the first cake i have ever decorated. I made the buttercream frosting. I wanted primary colors but the coloring i had wasn't making the frosting as bright as i liked and i didn't want to use the whole tube for one color. And ignore the fact that i don't know how to make the number 1. lol

This cake was actually very good and i had alot of compliments on it. Looks can be deceiving

Happy 1st Birthday Roman and Isaak

1 year ago on November 12th 2008, i went for my prenatal checkup, i had a 24 hr urine analysis done the week before because we suspected i was developing preeclampsia again. When i got there, my blood pressure was way up at 189/98, my results from my urine analysis showed i was spilling alot of protein in my urine (mild preeclampsia is diagnosed at 300, i was spilling 1,500). My swelling was getting worse and i was having constant headaches.

My doc was about to do the ultrasound and stopped and looked at me and said "I want you to head to the hospital because the babies will be delivered today".

I was 33w 5d and had a c-section right before 2pm. Roman weighed 4lbs 12oz and 17 1/4" and Isaak weighed 5lbs 4oz and 19". The spent 19 days in the nicu and have been healthy little guys ever since.

I can't believe its already been a year, it sure went fast.

At 12 months the boys are:

-Drinking from sippy cups, no more bottles
-Still cruising furniture
- Roman has taken 1 step by himself
- Isaak has stood alone for a total of 2 seconds
- They have over 10 words in their vocabulary
- They can make a few animal sounds
-They are climbing
-They play patty cake
-They can roll a ball
- They push cars around on the floor
- They can drink from a straw
- They eat almost everything that we eat
-Their favorite breakfast food is pancakes
- They love cheeto puffs, goldfish crackers, and any other kind of cracker
- They wear a size 5 shoe
- They wear 18 month pants
- They wear 18 month- 24 month tops
-They take 1-2 naps in the daytime and still sleep all night
- They have 6 teeth (4 on bottom and 2 on top)

They are such a joy and i feel so blessed to have them in our lives. Their 1yr check up isnt till December 3rd, so i don't know their stats right now but will share them later.

Its so bittersweet to me, a little sad to think i will never have anymore babies but i look foward to watching my children as they grow.

It was another beautiful day out today. Not as warm as yesterday (80 degrees) but it was still nice. So we loaded up the kids and met my brother, sister in law and their daughter at the park and had a picnic and let the boys play. My brother brought his awesome camera with him and took tons of pics. I had to pick through the 350 pics and decide which ones i wanted to post.

Ian has been in the hospital......

Ian is still in the hospital as of today (tuesday) but we are hoping he comes home today. He was admitted sunday night after breathing treatments at home weren't working. They did 3 back to back treatments in the ER and his oxygen saturation dropped to 87 so they admitted him and he was on oxygen sunday night, monday all day and night and today when i went up and visited him, he was off.

Halloween 2009

After cold and rainy weather all week, Halloween day turned out to be the perfect weather for trick or treating. It was a beautiful day with temps at almost 70 degrees. At first i was a little concerned because the babies costumes were very warm and thick and i thought they would get hot but as the sun went down, it got cooler so they weren't hot at all in them.

We just took the boys around the block, they got plenty of candy. It was so funny because at first the boys were being shy and they wouldn't ring door bells or knock on the doors and if they did it was after Ethan and Ian talked each other into doing it, then as soon as they would knock, they would run off back to me. LOL

But they got the hang of it after several houses and then they started chasing each other to see who could ring the door bell on the next house.

Everyone had different costumes this year, Ian had a "Cars" costume, Ethan was a teenage mutant ninja turtle, Roman was winnie the pooh and Isaak was a bumble bee.

I just received mine today, it was delicious. I had chocolate covered strawberries, apples, and oranges. 1 was dipped in white chocolate and the others were dipped in dark chocolate.
